
The Art of Time Restricted Eating
Welcome to this new year! I have a great feeling that 2025 is going to be a great one. So many people I have talked to recently have said the same. There are great vibrations in the air. Bring it on I am ready for a spectacular year.
Today I'd like to share some of what I have learned in the last year. What a journey I have been on, and I am still on this journey of learning. My life has had some big changes this last year, I retired from childcare and am now guiding people on their health journey. I am on my own health journey as well. I will continue to better myself physically and mentally as I go into this portion of my life. Crazy being almost 54, and thinking my life is half over possibly. I want to be that grandma that is still out playing with the grandkids and hiking and biking daily. This is why I am so glad I found Dr. Mindy Pelz last year. I was following her on u tube and began intermittent fasting. This last year I have lost 30 lbs. But more importantly she has also taught me to be myself. Fasting is as much a mental game as it is a physical. I have gained back my confidence in myself, and I feel so good physically that I just want to keep improving! I want everyone to feel like this, and that is why I jumped on the chance to take Dr. Mindy's coaching Course last year. I am now a certified FLAG (Fast like a Girl) coach, although I prefer guide instead of coach lol. You should check out her U tube channel and her books. She is a tell it like it is gal. She is passionate and real, and she makes me laugh.
She has created this huge movement of “Fasting like a Girl”. Her book dives deeper into what roles our hormones play, the science around it, how our bodies can heal through fasting, getting our bodies to metabolically switch between our fat burner and sugar burner systems, foods to eat to support our hormones, gives us different length fasts to vary as we don’t want to do the same over and over as our bodies need change, fasting hacks, how to break our fasts and much more.

These areas are what I will also be teaching my clients. When working with me we will dive into each of these subjects, I will be guiding you on your journey, whatever that may look like. Weight loss, infertility, brain fog, perimenopause, healing your microbiome, anxiety and depression, autoimmune diseases and the list could go on. This group will meet twice a month the first month then monthly. I will educate on a different subject each get together and then there will be time for group discussions. With this style of learning, we are learning from each other. We need to also know that each of us are N of 1. There are no two of us alike! No two people can fast the same way and have the same results, so never compare yourself to others. Especially men, they tend to lose the weight much quicker. Gathering as a group of like-minded women willing to become the healthiest versions of themselves is going to be amazing!
I am also offering 1-1 coaching sessions, there are 3,6- and 1-year plans and maintenance plans available. With the 1-1 you get daily and weekly check-ins and our monthly calls or in person meet ups. I will guide you through this process of creating a new way of becoming the healthiest version of yourself.
I am not opposed to working with men either, I do it every day with my husband. He has taken to this fasting lifestyle, and we enjoy learning and healing together. We are currently on our first 3 day fast together. It's amazing and you need to have support as with anything in life. That's why some people may want my specialized support. I've got your back.

This fasting lifestyle is not a totally constricting diet plan! It is a plan that is sustainable for the rest of your life! Once you have lost your weight and healed your body you don't have to fast. Your body is amazing and will keep you healthy if you feed it the right foods and exercise. It has taken me a year to get to my goal weight and I am now maintaining my weight with no problems. I am still working on healing my guts. I am doing longer fasts to break through emotional barriers I have. I do breathwork to help also. I want my body to switch into ketosis quicker ( like my husband lol). I have not sacrificed my fun lifestyle. I love to go out with friends and eat out and have beverages. So, I plan my week accordingly. It’s very flexible and doable. No Fear of Missing Out for this girl.
