A 2022 study found that women are at higher risk of mineral deficiency than men, particularly in minerals that support hormone balance, sleep, stress, and mood. Shocking right? NOT. Our bodies are dealing with so much more stress, and our daily lives are crazy, our bodies are not handling this well.

What has changed? Why are we so stressed and sick and obese?

We know that women have always worked hard, and men lol, but for this article I'm looking at women. Our ancestors foraged for food, made their clothes, shelter, cooked, tended to the children etc. They fasted and feasted just as I am suggesting you do with me. Our bodies were made to fast and feast just like our ancestors. Anyway, but now in our society women are taking on careers and doing all the other chores. Not all I know. But many of us. Our soils have become depleted of minerals and our foods don't have the vitamins they used to thanks to this. We are eating processed crap many times as we have too much going on in our lives to stop and cook a healthy meal. We need to slow down take some time for ourselves and make sure we are getting the minerals, and vitamins and electrolytes we need.

Women tend to need more minerals than men even though men are larger. Because women often use up their mineral stores faster than men do. While men’s bodies stay fairly stable, women’s bodies are constantly changing, and in many special situations we need a lot of a particular mineral in a short amount of time. As a result, women often feel the effects of mineral depletion more.

As a woman, your body is in constant flux—from shorter-term cycles like menstruation to major transitions like menopause. Throughout those shifts, minerals play an essential role in keeping you well.

A good example is menstruation. During your period you lose a significant amount of mineral-rich blood, along with the iron it contains. That’s fine if you have plenty of stored iron—but if your iron stores run low, your mitochondria (which need iron to produce energy) begin to shut down, and you can end up with fatigue, brain fog, and even premature aging. (hmmm peri menopause)

Mineral needs also increase dramatically during menopause. It’s common for women to lose significant bone density during menopause, in part because our bodies pull stored calcium, copper, phosphorus and potassium from our bones to try to maintain falling hormone production.

There are also general lifestyle factors that cause women to use more minerals. According to 2023 data from the American Psychological Association, women are about 50% more likely to experience chronic stress than men are—and stress is a major cause of mineral depletion.

Did you know that most women commit suicide during ages 45-55? Highest divorce rates these ages also!

We just have too much going on!! I've been reading "The rushing women's syndrome" and its eye opening for sure. A must read, take some you time and listen to it or actually read the physical book. I've been trying to do this more. Good for our brains to read a physical book. Ok back to topic minerals lol. We also have hormones that are raging and changing, and they are not getting what they need. Nutrition and rest. hence, the nurture phase in the fasting lifestyle. Our bodies need rest and a reset.

When you’re stressed, your body uses magnesium at a much faster rate. It protects your cells from damage and helps reduce the psychological impact of stress. But if you’re stressed continuously over time, your magnesium stores will become depleted. Low magnesium makes you more susceptible to future stress, further depleting your magnesium and starting a vicious cycle that’s difficult to escape.

Finally, women are more likely to experience depression and anxiety, both of which are tied to low magnesium and zinc, two of the most common mineral deficiencies in women. The good news is that women are also especially quick to recover from depression and anxiety when we replenish magnesium and zinc, according to research over the last 20 years.

You may be wondering how to incorporate your BEAM Minerals products into your health routine? We recommend the following best practices:

  • BEAM Minerals are so gentle that they can be taken on an empty stomach and during intermittent fasting. As always, you need to determine what works best for you.

  • BEAM Minerals can be taken at any time of the day. Most people prefer taking the products as part of their morning supplementation practices.

  • For the first week, do not change your other supplementation. It is usually best to make changes gradually to give your body some time to adjust.

  • Start by taking 1 fl. oz. (approximately one capful) of Electrolyze™ and Micro-BOOST™ daily. BEAM Minerals is 100% bio-available and most people feel a boost very quickly! Do not worry if you don't feel anything right away, just keep taking them! Everyone’s body is unique and yours may need a little more time to respond.

  • Listen to your body! If you think you need more electrolytes and minerals, take an extra half to a full ounce of Electrolyze™ and Micro-BOOST™.

  • During the second week you can begin to taper off on your other electrolyte supplementation – this is optional of course! Once your system has adjusted, you may not need any other electrolyte or micronutrient supplementation.

  • After two weeks you can move to a maintenance mode and take 1/2 oz (approximately 1/2 capful) of Electrolyze™ and Micro-BOOST™ daily.

  • If you are super active or engage in intense workouts, you probably burn more electrolytes. Try adding an extra 1/2 oz (approximately 1/2 capful) of Electrolyze™ before your workouts and experience the difference.

  • If you still have cramping or body aches, try using BEAM Minerals Insta-Lytes™. Just spray it on for an instant electrolyte infusion exactly where you need it. Spray directly on muscles before or after workouts to reduce soreness caused by lactic acid build-up.

  • The quantities of each element in BEAM Minerals products are measured in “parts per million” (ppm), rather than the “milligrams” (mg). Here is the information which usually helps to understand the difference:

Milligrams (mg) vs parts per million (ppm)

In comparing our products to other supplements, people want to know how much of an electrolyte is in our products (like potassium, magnesium, sodium, calcium). Usually, they are looking for an amount in milligrams (mg).

We have a hard time answering that question, because the electrolytes (and other elements) in BEAM Minerals products are measured in parts per million (ppm). So how can consumers compare?

The answer is a little complex, but here’s the high points.

    • The electrolytes in BEAM Minerals products are provided in “trace” amounts that are completely dissolved and thus 100% bio-available, immediately introduced into your circulation when you consumed them and will produce and active effect.

    • When you take a 320mg pill of magnesium, your body is only able utilize about 12-20% of it as it takes some time because your body has to digest it first. Whatever is not dissolved gets processed out of your body.

When you take a capful of liquid Electrolyze™ and/or Micro-BOOST™, you receive approximately 5.22 ppm of magnesium in which 100% of the magnesium is immediately available to your body. In addition, an important to know is that the magnesium in BEAM Minerals products stay in your system much longer building up healthy levels as you continue to take it daily.
Fulvic and humic complexes are used by every plant and animal on earth to optimize cellular nutrition and to support systemic detoxification.

For those of you who are scientifically inclined, the actual process of creating fulvic complexes requires multiple, specific microbes to metabolize plants and excrete substances, all in very specific order. This process breaks down plants into their “trace” components and results in fulvic and humic complexes.

These complexes work in a beautifully concerted manner:

  • Fulvic complexes, which are super small (compared to a single cell), carry nutrients into your cells and toxins out of your cells. Fulvic complexes are the delivery vehicles for your cells.

Humic complexes which are very large (compared to a cell) gather and then rid your body of toxins, bio-waste, free radicals and heavy metals. Humic complexes are the janitors for your body.

BEAM minerals also have other great products I have been using: Sprays are fast and easy, they also have pill minerals also, I just prefer the liquid. They have no flavor and are very convenient.

Other BEAM products (sprays) very handy

As usual if you have any questions feel free to reach out.
